I’ve been asked a lot over the last year or so about shooting with bikini models and after several introductory workshops on shooting with models, it’s time for an extra special workshop…
Shooting Bikini Models on Location!! September 26th, 2015 (Rain date is 27th!)
This incredibly limited workshop will take place based out of the Hubbards Yacht Club. We will meet at 9AM for an orientation and depart on a private 36 foot yacht at 9:45am.
Depending on the weather we will sail or motor around St. Margaret’s Bay where we will discuss lighting and posing techniques and spend much of the day photographing with two of the top bikini models in the region.
We will discuss and practice using small lights (speedlights/strobes) to overpower the sun, reflectors and diffusers and when to use them, ND filters, CPol filters and more. We will discuss as a group using the location to your advantage, finding light as well as working with your model and posing.
This is an exclusive opportunity to work with fantastic models in a unique environment. Workshops like this are routinely thousands of dollars in exotic southern locations. Nova Scotia may not be the Carribean but we have some stunning scenery and locations here as well and I believe we can achieve similar results without the expensive flights, passports and hassle. Hopefully Mother Nature will work with us and we will be treated to a glorious sunset after which we will wrap up back at the dock in Hubbards.
Some samples of my previous work with both Christie and Brittany are included in the gallery below.

The cost of the workshop is $299 + 15% HST for a total of $343.85.

Christie long is an internationally published glamour/fitness model and personal trainer from Antigonish, Nova Scotia with a 6 year bachelor of education degree.
Christie grew up playing many different sports with her favourite being dance. Having travelled to California at a young age to dance at Disney land with the Scotian Highland Dancers, Christie got used to being in the spotlight and missed the stage. She decided to go on and compete in bodybuilding competitions. Christie placed top 6 in her first 3 shows and placed first and overall in 2013 in the bikini medium class in Halifax. Christie had her first photoshoot done before this show and absolutely loved modelling, even more than competing.
Wanting to get more experience in front of the camera, Christie got involved with the paradise challenge event hosted by the black tape project in 2014 in Jamaica. It was a great way to network with top photographers and models around the world and a great way to add variety to her portfolio.
In 2015 Christie continues to model every other weekend with some top photographers around Nova Scotia. Follow Christie on Instagram @christieannefit and Facebook at Facebook.com/christieannelong
