Outdoor Fall Colour Artistic Nude Workshop – October 12th, 2013 – NSFW!

Some of you may recall a recent workshop we presented earlier this summer featuring two lovely models who were visiting Halifax from the fall away land of Toronto. Well one of those lovely ladies fell in love with our fair city and decided to come back for another visit and called me up to see if I’d be interested in working with her to put on another seminar to take advantage of the incredible fall colors so common in Nova Scotia.

Who was I to say anything other then “Hell yeah!” 🙂

We put together a concept and selected a location, including a backup, just in case it rains.

So please help me welcome the incredibly talented Krystal Love back to Halifax. 🙂

The workshop will begin in Halifax where we will discuss the challenges of shooting outdoors, especially some of the notions of working with a nude model in a location where you could potentially be discovered unintentionally. We’ll discuss how to deal with these situations, how to use natural light, reflectors and gobos, as well as posing for artistic nudes. We will also discuss etiquette when working with nudes in any situation.

After the group discussion, we will travel to a secret location a short trip from downtown Halifax where we will spend the afternoon shooting with Krystal in a group setting as well as with each photographer individually.

Due to the potentially cool weather, we cannot ask Krystal to be exposed to the elements for long periods of time so there will be a very strict limit on the number of photographers allowed to participate. So please register right away to reserve your space before they are gone. Only 6 spaces will be permitted and the workshop cost is $249 per photographer, including HST.

All you need to do is arrive with transportation (although carpooling to and from the top secret location can be arranged in advance), your camera and a selection of lenses. If you have reflectors or battery powered lights you’d like to bring, please do. Just make sure they are clearly marked so you take home exactly the same gear you bring.
