Mike has been teaching Industrial PLC Programming, Basic Motor Control, Sales and Time Management as well as Variable Speed Drives Theory and Service level courses for over 10 years. He has been teaching Basic Photoshop, Basic and Advanced Adobe Lightroom and other specialized courses to groups both large and small for over three years.

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 - In Depth (4 Parts - 14 Hours) |
- This 4-part series of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 seminars will cover many key productivity and creative uses of LR to help increase your workflow productivity and help you manage your digital asset library.
- Each participant will receive a serties of CD's with presentation material, examples and additional resources for eash session for a total of 4 CDs. Also, although it is highly recommended that you have at least some experience with LR and have your own copy, a 30 day trial version of Adobe Lightroom 3 is included for both Mac and PC users, for those who haven't made the commitment yet.
- Feel free to bring your own laptop and follow along or just a notepad and pen to jot down the power user tips and hidden gems in this game changing software for photographers.
Week 1 - Overview and Catalog Concept: A general overview of the concept behind Lightroom and an in depth look at how the "Catalog" concept differs from the traditional files and folders approach to library management.
Week 2 - Library Module: Covers topics including Importing/Exporting, Keywording, Ranking/Flagging and Library Management. Learn where your files go and how to quickly and easily find them.
Week 3 - Develop Module: Learn how to take you imported images and make them shine! You will see how to use the built-in tools and settings in detail using a non-destructive environment and learn about the tight integration with Photoshop CS5 and other plug-ins.
Week 4 - Print, Slideshow and Web: See how you can use the built-in tools to create your own multi-media slideshow or on-line portfolio and how to create custom print layouts and layout presets to create unique looks and highg quality art prints.

- This 3 hour seminar discusses the basic questions such as "What is Adobe Lightroom?" and "If I use Photoshop and Bridge, how does Lightroom fit in?" Even advanced techniques such as keywording, searching, presets and more. The idea is to show participants the structure of the software and to help develop a personal workflow habit based on Adobe's Lightroom philosophy. Participants all receive a PDF copy of the presentation on CD with many free presets, plug-ins, links and a copy of the latest trial version of Lightroom 3.

- This 6 hour seminar discusses everything from the basic workflow seminar to advanced techniques including catalogs, Creative Suite 5 integration, creating your own presets and much more. The idea is to not just introduce a routine workflow to help improve your efficiency, but to really take your efficiency to the next level using power user features of Adobe Lightroom. I've done it myself. Opened an image and wasted several hours playing with filters, changes, plug-ins and settings only to shut down Photoshop and walk away without even bothering to save the mess I had left behind. If this sounds like you, then you've found the right seminar for you! This introduction is for beginners and novice PhotoShop users and covers basics like the User Interface, Toolbox and Panels, Adjustment Layers and Panels, Filters and more! Although this is not designed to be a hands-on workshop, feel free to bring your laptop and follow along. We will wrap-up with a 30-45 minute question and answer session so you can have your specific issues answered before you go home to play!

Important Pricing & Payment Information |

In order to ensure a consistent and fair policy to protect both ourselves and our customers, we have instituted serveal policies in regards to payment for services.
These policies are subject to change without notice.
- All services require a nonrefundable deposit. Upon receiving a deposit equal to no less than 25% of the negotiated total cost of providing the contracted services, McCarthy Photographic will formally reserve the time and resources required for the services. Your booking cannot be confirmed without a deposit.
- Should the event be cancelled with or without cause by the client, the deposit shall be forfeit. If the date cannot be re-booked by McCarthy Photographic, then the total amount of the service agreement will be invoiced and will be payable in full.
- Should accident, injury, equipment failure, processing errors or other such circumstance occur that prevents McCarthy Photographic from performing or providing the services agreed, all monies paid by the client shall be returned and McCarthy Photographic shall not be liable for any damages as a result of the failure to provide services.
- No product (electronic or print) or proofs shall be presented until the invoice has been paid in full.
- Workshop specific information: Should a workshop or seminar be cancelled by McCarthy Photographic and a replacement date is not available, all deposit and registration fees will be credited to the registrant and McCarthy Photographic will assume liability for any other expenses or costs.
- If the registrant cancels their space more than 2 weeks prior to the seminar date, 90% of the workshop cost will be refunded and the remaining 10% will be considered a handling fee to cover the banking costs of the PayPal transactions. If the registrant cancells their space more than 72 hours prior to the workshop but less than 2 weeks prior to the scheduled date, then 50% of the fee will be credited to the registrant. Any cancellation within 72 hours of the seminar or workshop, regardless of the circumstances, will forfiet the cost of the workshop.
