Well, as recently announced on Facebook, due to changes in the policies of Trade Centre Limited, we are not allowed to utilize the “open spaces” that we have used in previous years for our photo booth. That in conjunction with Hal-Con’s limit to 3 tables and at this late date, the larger booths are all sold out already leave us unable to attend Hal-Con to provide our services this year.

At least, on site anyway. 😉

McCarthy Photographic has booked Aperture Studios (1678 Barrington St) from 5pm on Friday, Oct 30th through until 6pm on Sunday, Nov 1st and will be advance booking 30 minute blocks for you and your cosplaying friends to have your green screen photos taken and prints made while you wait. Aperture Studio is only a block south from the main World Trade Center location so it is an easy walk and having a full service studio allows us to offer a more personal touch and even additional services too!

All we are asking is that when you select the time for your booking that you pre-pay a small $15 reservation fee. This reservation fee will be credited toward any prints or digital files you purchase at the the time of your booking but is non-refundable if you miss your booking time. This just helps ensure that our studio cost is covered and that we do not have “no-shows” when someone else could have booked the time. If you do miss your time, we will do our best to fit you in, however another $15 reservation fee will apply and reservations must be made at least one hour in advance. This extra time will also allow us to offer a better final product by allowing more individual time with each client.

Facebook sized (835 pixel) watermarked digital image can be added to any print order for $5.

All prices include HST.

Select the date you would like to book in the calendar below (October 30th, 31st or November 1st) and you will see a list of available time slots. Pick your time slot, complete the form and you can choose to pay the $15 reservation fee via PayPal or you can pay using most major credit cards via Stripe processing. In either case, there are no extra charges to you.

I’ve been asked how to preview our backgrounds… Easy! I’ll be posting a gallery of available background images soon. Also, if you have a background image you would like to use, there will be an option to upload it to us from the booking form.

Finally, I want to assure you all that we are planning already for next year and we will have a dedicated space for 2016!!
